Rotary Classic Car and Bike Run

Grittleton House are delighted to be welcoming the Classic Car and Bike Run 2024, in support of Dorothy House Hospice, on Sunday 19th May 2024, organised by Calne Rotary Club.

Last year saw the ‘Blues Brothers’ droving in the annual Classic Car and bike run – will they be back or will another amazing due appear?  Starting at Calne Leisure Centre and finishing at Dorothy House Hospice, this year will follow a 70mile route, with a welcome Coffee Stop at Grittleton House, the house and grounds provides a stunning backdrop for some fabulous photos.

Classic Cars and Bikes start arriving at 8am at Calne Leisure Centre, SN11 0SP Car Park, with breakfast available and provided by Calne Lions. The best opportunity for the public to see all the cars and wave them off at the start is between 8am and 10am at Calne Leisure Centre.

The cars will be calling at Grittleton House, SN14 6AP, for a welcome pit stop arriving 10:45 and departing 12:30.  Tea and cake will be available from the orangery, access is via the Italian Gardens.  All visitors are most welcome.  The cars will then continue on through some of the finest Wiltshire countryside and finish at Dorothy House Hospice Care, BA15 2LE

Dogs are welcome on a short lead and of course there are prizes for the Best Dressed Driver/Passengers, Cutest Dog, Presidents Favourite Car and the Best Teddy or other much loved toy.

The event is open to cars, motorcycles and light commercial vehicles that are 25 years or older. The number of entrants will be limited to 100 to prevent bunching on the route and to facilitate parking both before the run and at the coffee stop.

Entry costs are £30.00 per car and £15.00 per motorcycle.
