Grittleton Stables are situated within the grounds of a large Victorian Manor House. The stables are set away from the main house and have a unique and tranquil charm that we hope will instil a wonderful feeling of relaxation, interest and history. The beauty and location of this setting makes it ideal for all types of school visits.
Facilities
The Carriage House is a versatile space that can be used in several ways, a games room, meeting room or lecture hall. There is a 10’ screen and projector, DVD BluRay Sat TV, 7 surround speakers which can be linked to an iPod or mp3 player. There are also built in disco lights that react to sound. In the Tower House there is a lounge available for teachers which has a 42” flat TV screen with freeview and wireless internet. The dining room is also situated in the Tower House and can seat up to 100 people.
Bedrooms
We have 20 rooms available all of which are ensuite. The rooms are made up in dormitory style and sleep between 4 and 8 children. There are also single (limited numbers) and twin ensuite bedrooms available for staff. We are able to accommodate up to 90 guests.
Meals
Breakfast is served at 8am each morning and will include a selection of cereals, toast, fruit and yoghurts, fruit juice, tea and coffee. During your stay you will also receive one cooked breakfast.
Lunch a packed lunch will be provided daily this will include a selection of sandwiches, crisps, chocolate bar or cake, piece of fruit and bottled water. If you require a hot or cold lunch served in the restaurant this can be arranged at an additional cost.
Evening Meal A two course evening meal will be served from the sample set menu.

Outdoor Facilities
Thirty acres of manicured arboretum, parkland and formal gardens. Courtyard for BBQs and alfresco dining. Tennis Courts, Netball courts, Football pitch and other outdoor sporting facilities, all available with prior arrangement. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, which is available during the summer months. Prior arrangement is necessary and suitably trained staff need to supervise.
